Q235 A3 Cold Drawn Carbon Hexagon
Q235 A3 Cold Drawn Carbon Hexagon
Q235 a3 cold drawn carbon hexagon is a common structural steel grade and it is also known as A3 steel. This steel grade is used in a wide variety of construction and manufacturing applications. Discover more about this material, including its key features and benefits.
The Q in “Q235” stands for the yield limit, which is around 235mpa. This means that this grade of steel is very strong and can withstand heavy loads without damage or failure. It is also very versatile, which makes it suitable for a wide range of different applications.
In addition to its strength, Q235 also has good ductility and toughness. This allows it to be shaped and molded during fabrication processes, making it easy to work with. It is also resistant to corrosion, which is beneficial for many applications.
A3 steel is made up of low carbon content, which helps to reduce the risk of brittleness during fabrication and improves its ductility and toughness. In addition, it has excellent weldability and formability, making it a popular choice for construction and manufacturing. The low carbon content of Q235 also makes it an ideal material for forming and bending.
For the experiments in this study, the commercially available Q235 steel bars were tested with ECD. The specimens were first cleaned by abrasive paper with varying grit sizes to remove surface oxides and then rinsed in turn with acetone, anhydrous ethanol, and deionized water. After each rinse, the specimens were ultrasonically cleaned in deionized water to ensure that they were free of contaminating substances and ready for the electrochemical analysis.
The XPS analyses of the polished Q235 samples showed that they were composed of C, O, and Fe elements. The peaks at 709.6 and 710.9 eV correspond to the Fe 2P3/2 and FeO sites, respectively. The corrosion products generated by the addition of SME mainly consisted of a combination of FeO and Fe2O3, which is consistent with previous studies. The corrosion rate of the samples was found to be highly dependent on the concentration of SME added, which is consistent with other findings.
